Azienda Agricola Poderi Conterno is undeniably one of the crown jewels of Piedmont. Their five bottlings of Barolo are considered prime examples of the traditional style. Each is extraordinarily complex and expressive of grape, region and winemaking technique. A few years back, Matt Kramer in the Wine Spectator called Aldo Conterno “Barolo's greatest winemaker.”
