2010 CHARMES CHAMBERTIN GRAND CRU

INTRODUCTION

Of all the grand crus, Charmes is the easiest. It matures sooner than any of the others, is softer, and is the most apparently fruity.

VINEYARD PROFILE

Charmes Chambertin is located beneath Chambertin and in between Mazoyeres Chambertin and Griotte Chambertin on 12.2456 ha/30.3 acres.

Average age of the vines in the plot - 35 years

Geology - Clay/limestone

Annual production - 1,800 to 2,400 bottles

The vines have only been treated with organic preparations since 2003

WINEMAKER NOTES

Wine for laying down, but can be appreciated when young after carafing for several hours before serving.
