The appellation is the largest by far in the Cote d'Or. With a total of 1,354 acres in the Cote d'Or, Geverey Chambertin accounts for two thirds. All Gevrey, regardless of status, should be substantial wine, dark in hue and infused with a strong, assertive fruit.Average age of vines in the plot - from 30 to 50 years

Gevrey Chambertin has 85.5255 ha/211 acres in 26 vineyards.Wine for laying down, but can be appreciated when young after carafing for several hours before serving.Grape variety - 100% Pinot Noir
