The appeal of Meursault is direct: It is a gush of flavor in the mouth. A mature Meursault offers a combination of flavors found in few Chardonnays anywhere: honey, coffee, hazelnuts, minerals, butter, and spices such as cinnamon. A good Meursault can make you think that if gold were a flavor, it would taste like Meursault.There are 438.8 ha/1,079 acres in 89 named vineyards in Meursault.
