2009 MAZIS CHAMBERTIN

Wines from this region can seem to be more aggresive and intense. They also may mature sooner but still need a good ten years in a good vintage.

Mazis-Chambertin shares the same alignmnet on the slope as Chambertin - Clos de Beze, which it ajoins. Mazis-Chambertin has 9.1034 ha/22.5 acres.

Average age of vines in the plot - 70 years

Geology - Clay-limestone

Annual production - 800 to 1100 bottles

The vines have only been treated with organic preparations since 2003

WINEMAKER NOTES

Wine for laying down, but can be appreciated when young after carafing for several hours before serving.
