2009 LUBERON - VIN GOURMAND

INTRODUCTION

Côtes du Luberon is located entirely within the Luberon Regional Natural Park. The AOC covers 4240 hectares and, with maximum yields of 55hl/ha, produces mostly red wines (67%) but also a significant proportion of whites (13%). Total production is close to 22 million bottles.

TASTING NOTES

Colour: deep red with violet tinges
The nose shows plenty of fresh fruit.
Attractive coating of tannins on the palate while showing powerful aromas and flavours, then very lively and thirst-quenching finish.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

After 2007, we did not produce any 2008 in order to maintain the quality level of our Lubéron. We worked in 2009 with two properties which vines (50% Syrah and 50% Grenache) are located on the North of the Appellation, on an altitude of 300 to 350 meters high, on clay and stony soils. We vinified at low temperature in order to magnify the natural fruit of the grapes, and then gently extracted the colour and tannins while being very careful on preserving the aromas.
