TASTING NOTES

Pierre Rovani notes:
Born in a vintage of huge ripeness, low acidity, and perfectly ripe tannins, this beauty reflects 1959’s sumptuous fruit. It displays a ruby brick core with an amber edge. Like many other perfectly stored 1959s, this Grand Cru is at its peak. Its nose reveals notes of Asian spice and dark berries. On the palate, this wine regales the taster with tangy black cherries that linger into its lengthy, fresh finish. Tasted April 2008
