88 points. A classic Chassagne nose of black pepper, dark berries and pungent earth nuances leads to rich, generous and solidly well-concentrated flavors that are shaped by firm and mildly rustic tannins. There is by contrast plenty of buffering dry extract that imparts a velvety mouth feel to the attractively persistent finish. Fine quality at this level.
