June Rodil and Cat Miles founded June’s Rosé in 2017. June, the beverage director for multi-outlet hospitality groups and one of 29 female Master Sommeliers in the Americas, was in search of a memorable but affordable sparkling rosé to offer by the glass at her various restaurants. Her longtime friend Cat, an importer specializing in family-owned, farmer-first wineries from around the globe, suggested they pair up to make their own.
Partnering with friend and renowned winemaker Markus Huber, in Traisental, Austria, the duo created a bespoke blend of 50% pinot noir and 50% zweigelt, bottling each vintage with Markus’s estate-grown and certified organic fruit. The final product is a spirited and happily bubbly wine with notes of ripe strawberries, red cherry, and hibiscus tea, with a mineral-dry finish.
After six vintages, June and Cat launched June’s Rosé nationally in 2023, finally ready to answer the calls of thirst traps, retailers, and independent restaurants throughout the country who’ve been asking for a taste.
