Short bio

As I grew up in New Jersey with a French mother and American father, it seems somewhat fitting that I would eventually trip into wine and food. My many experiences of youth were in urban areas, enjoying all that center city Philadelphia and Manhattan could offer. When it was time to get serious about wine, I found myself dragging a bag in NYC, in and out of the greatest restaurants and retail shops, all while honing and building a taste for Champagne. When my first daughter came along, I put the career on pause and spent 13 years raising three fabulous children, all while living vicariously through my husband who is also in this business. Today, we find ourselves in Napa and now that the kids are older, it was a perfect time to rejoin the ranks and get back into wine sales – but my taste for Champagne hasn’t waned a bit.

Where have you lived?

I have lived in Minnesota, at the Jersey shore, West Philadelphia, the upper east side of Manhattan, the North Fork of Long Island, the Russian River Valley and finally Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll District.

How did you start in the wine business?

Like most of us I started in the restaurant business, in Philadelphia. My growing love for wine very quickly outweighed my diminishing love for the restaurant business schedule. My boyfriend at the time, now my husband thought it would be cool if I took a wine sales position.

My family when we are all together, and a glass of Champagne.

Fantastic wine experience

There are many, sometimes they just happen in my backyard, like sitting on my couch with Chef Francis Mallmann and a magnum of Barolo, or blending the non-vintage cuvee with Luc Montaudon, proprietor at the time of Champagne Montaudon.

I haven’t found it yet, but Paris will do for now.

I love all the cheese. Stinky, sweet, runny, it’s all amazing!
