Le Monde
Le Monde lies between the banks of the Livenza and Meduna rivers, close to the border between the provinces of Treviso and Pordenone in Friuli Grave. The winery headquarters, built in the eighteenth century maintains the architectural characteristics of the time. Originally property of the Pistoni family, the wine farm together with the vineyards was acquired Alex Maccan in 2008. Alex is now the owner and winemaker.

Winemaker's Notes
Bold straw-yellow with bright golden tinges. The nose has real character, with hints of ripe tropical fruit, peach and seductive notes of sweet spices. It has a warm, velvety body that is well balanced and mouth-filling.
Extremely versatile with food: the perfect companion for light starters or pasta and rice dishes. Also goes well with fish. Its structure can stand up to baked gilthead seabream or roast beef.

Reviews
Tre Bicchiere - 3 Glasses Points
TRE BICCHIERE / GAMBERO ROSSO
Founded in 1970, in 2008 the winery was taken over by Alex Maccan. Le Monde, situated between the banks of the Livenza and Meduna rivers and bordering Veneto, is considered a true cru. Here the mostly calcareous-clayey soils are very different from the gravel of the Friulian plains. Yields per hectare are low and the average age of the vines is over thirty years. Alex’s entrepreneurial skills have brought Le Monde to the heights of regional excellence. Looking over the last 10 vintages, an undisputed leader emerges, a wine that has contributed to the success of the entire range: the Pinot Bianco. The 2019 makes elegance its highest virtue and reconquers Tre Bicchieri.
