Lovely melon and baking-spice on the nose. Good depth on the fullish body with some textural complexity and structure and good structure that should enable this pinot grigio to drink well with a few years of bottle age. Drink or hold.

Arriving in a pretty bottle with an angel on the front, the 2020 Alto Adige Pinot Grigio Anger also offers great value for this level of winemaking. In this expression, the wine is more fruit-driven with peach and pear than it is grassy or citrusy. It leans toward yellow fruits in general. It could be the appetizer Pinot Grigio you’d serve with a dozen raw oysters. 2021 – 2023

EDITORS’ CHOICE
Enticing aromas of Alpine herbs, white spring flowers and orchard fruits shape the inviting nose on this fantastic Pinot Grigio. Savory and full-bodied, the creamy palate features yellow pear, honeydew and a hint of spice for a saline finish. Fresh acidity keeps it balanced.
