Domaine de Montcy
Domaine de Montcy is an estate in the Loire Valley carefully tended by Vincent Hayer since 2003. With an aim to produce wines at the highest level the Cheverny appellation has to offer, they farm about 30 hectares across four main plots in the communes of Cheverny, Cormeray, Chitenay and more recently Celettes. It is also one of the few producers of the tiny appellation of Cour-Cheverny. In 2020 Vincent purchased the estate outright and constructed a new, eco-built cellar in Cormeray. He leads the future of Domaine de Montcy.

Honoring the Loire river with the name “Ligère,” this Cheverny illustrates the iconic region. Pale yellow color. At first, Sauvignon aromas of white fruit. Secondary scents of lilac linger. Direct, straightforward and generous on the palate. The mouthfeel is rounded, greedy and very long. A balanced finish with breadcrust notes. Overall impression of complexity and elegance.
Drink as an aperitif, or pair with goat cheeses and grilled fishes.
