Tiberio

The story of Azienda Agricola Tiberio rings more like a new world tale than one from the old world of the ancient lands beneath the Majella and Gran Sasso mountains in Abruzzo. At 350 meters, twenty three miles inland from the seaside city of Pescara near the hillside town of Cugnoli, Riccardo Tiberio found an old plot of Trebbiano Abruzzese vines roughly 50 years old so impressive that he decided to change his and his family’s destiny.

Reviews

90 Points

The 2021 Trebbiano d’Abruzzo is intense yet fresh with vivid peach and young mango giving way to mint and white flowers. This washes across the palate with mineral intensity and pure orchard fruits, yet it comes across as round and soothing in feel. A salty flourish lingers, along with hints of lime, as the 2021 tapers off long and sapid. While not a wine for the ages, Cristiana Tiberio did a fabulous job dealing with the warm and dry conditions of the year. 2022 – 2025

Straw yellow. Intense, savoury cedro (citron) nose with notes of orange and garden herbs. Focused, crisp lemon fruit. Linear but with plenty of stuffing. Simply gorgeous and something for Riesling lovers. 2023 – 2030
