Reviews

92 Points

The NV Marsala Vergine is deeply seductive, presenting a bouquet that blends spicy notes of hazelnut, cardamom and white pepper with a more decadent mix of dried apples, brown sugar and toffee. It’s silky-smooth and more savory than sweet, with an almost-salty display of roasted almonds, caramel and hints of cocoa. This shows incredible persistence and balance, tapering off fresh while resonating on notes of buttered brioche and mocha. There is so much pleasure to be found in this dry Marsala, made entirely from Grillo and matured in 50-hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels.  2021 – 2032
