Reviews

93 Points

Still closed, this late-release is loaded with charcoal, tobacco, singed alder and bittersweet ganache notes that keep the core of steeped plum and blackberry fruit in check for now. A gutsy style that needs a bit more time to settle in. Best from 2017 through 2025.—J.M.

Still closed, this late-release is loaded with charcoal, tobacco, singed alder and bittersweet ganache notes that keep the core of steeped plum and blackberry fruit in check for now.  Shows ample grip through the finish, with a lingering tarry edge.  A gutsy style that needs a bit more time to settle in.  Best from 2017 through 2025.
