The Wine

Harvest Notes
  • While other parts of France and Italy struggled in vintage 2012, the Southern Rhone Valley faired well.
  • After a growing season and harvest with mostly dry, sunny weather and well-timed rains the somewhat later harvest provided excellent fruit.
Winemaker's Notes
  • For our Luberon Rouge we source fruit from vineyards situated in higher altitudes. This allows us to preserve good acidity that brings freshness and balance to the wine.
  • The blend comes from vineyards in the area of Bonnieux and the surroundings of Cucuron and Lourmarin.
Wine Summary
  • Made from Syrah and Grenache grapes.
  • Fermented in stainless steel tank.
  • Aged in stainless steel tanks.
  • Aged for 8 months.
