  • Grape-Harvest: The harvest takes place in the second half of October.
  • Fermentation: Vinification is carried out in a stainless steel tank with ambient yeasts. The fermentation takes place over 6 weeks with regular punching-down and Remontages.
  • Aging: The wine is aged in large Slavonian oak casks for 36 months.
  • Bottling: The wine is bottled without filtration.
Winemaker's Notes
  • Colour: Concentrated, bright Garnet.
  • Bouquet: Violet, roses, leather, tar with balsamic overtones, black fruit characteristics and notes of Alba truffle.
  • Taste: Classic Vigna Rionda Barolo flavors of black cherry and other dark fruits, with spicy notes and even a hint of black olive. A very powerful and long-lived wine, with a massive structure combined with extreme elegance.
  • Pairings: Stews, red meats and darker game such as wild boar. Deep Thought.
