Harvest Notes
- Grape-Harvest: The harvest takes place in the second half of October.
- Fermentation: Vinification is carried out in a stainless steel tank with ambient yeasts. The fermentation takes place over 6 weeks with regular punching-down and Remontages.
- Aging: The wine is aged in large Slavonian oak casks for 36 months.
- Bottling: The wine is bottled without filtration.
Winemaker's Notes
- Colour: Concentrated, bright Garnet.
- Bouquet: Violet, roses, leather, tar with balsamic overtones, black fruit characteristics and notes of Alba truffle.
- Taste: Classic Vigna Rionda Barolo flavors of black cherry and other dark fruits, with spicy notes and even a hint of black olive. A very powerful and long-lived wine, with a massive structure combined with extreme elegance.
- Pairings: Stews, red meats and darker game such as wild boar. Deep Thought.

Great finesse marks this dense, fruit-filled red. Cherry, raspberry, eucalyptus, tar and tobacco ride the bright acidity and firm tan¬nins, and this kicks into overdrive on the finish, which is full of spice and tobacco notes.
