The Wine

Harvest Notes
  • McLaren Vale Shiraz (approx 25 year old vines) from just outside of the McLaren Flat township at the base of The Range.
  • Fruit for this wine was machine harvested before being destemmed and crushed.
  • Open fermenters were regularly hand-plunged and pumped over to maximize skin contact with the juice and extract color, flavor, and tannins.
  • Following fermentation, approximately 25% of this wine was matured in American Oak, with the balance maturing in a combination of new and older French Oak for a period of 14 months.
  • This wine has been bottled with minimal filtration.
