Le Monde lies between the banks of the Livenza and Meduna rivers, close to the border between the provinces of Treviso and Pordenone in Friuli Grave. The winery headquarters, built in the eighteenth century maintains the architectural characteristics of the time. Originally property of the Pistoni family, the wine farm together with the vineyards was acquired Alex Maccan in 2008.

Winemaker's Notes
Deep red ruby highlighted with garnet. Full, enticing aromas of fruit preserves with a touch of grass, leading to a rich, textured palate and lingering finish.

Le Monde’s 2021 Cabernet Franc is hand-harvested and fermented and raised entirely in stainless steel tanks. The wine comes in at an even thirteen percent octane and delivers lovely depth of fruit in its complex bouquet of dark berries, coffee bean, cigar smoke, a fine base of chalky soil tones, a touch of tree bark and a lovely, discreet topnote of sweet botanicals. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and nascently complex, with a fine core of fruit, lovely soil undertow and grip, moderate tannins and fine focus and grip on the long and well balanced finish. This is a very good bottle of cabernet franc that, in my opinion, could be even better if raised in older oak barriques and sealed with a natural cork. The depth and complexity here are excellent and the wine really deserves to be treated like a top example of Chinon in the cellars, which it would rival if given a similar élevage. As for the 2021, it is already a touch reductive on the palate from the screwcap and should be decanted for fifteen to twenty minutes prior to serving, just to let it blossom. 2030 – 2060+
