Le Monde

Le Monde lies between the banks of the Livenza and Meduna rivers, close to the border between the provinces of Treviso and Pordenone in Friuli Grave. The winery headquarters, built in the eighteenth century maintains the architectural characteristics of the time. Originally property of the Pistoni family, the wine farm together with the vineyards was acquired Alex Maccan in 2008.

Winemaker's Notes

Straw-yellow with greenish tinges. The delicate flowery notes that first emerge from the bouquet evolve into tropical fruit aromas and assertive notes of white peach. Fresh-tasting, dry and velvet-smooth, it has a bold character that alternates between exotic and delicately salty notes, in perfect harmony.

Perfect with Italian raw seafood dishes, but also sushi and sashimi. It also goes well with complex vegetable dishes and soups.

Reviews

90 Points

The 2019 Sauvignon blossoms in the glass with a sweet herbal display, mixing apricot with wild flowers and finally a hint of smoke. It’s soft with dense textural heft, as cleansing acids and notes of green apple firm up the expression, and inner florals build toward the close. Salty minerals linger, tugging at the senses with youthful tension. The Le Monde Sauvignon is in need of a couple of years of cellaring to fully blossom. 2022 – 2026
