The Wine
Winemaker's Notes
- The Riserva is an intense ruby red, with garnet hues.
- It`s bouquet is usually evolved and austere, with hints of wild berries, leather, and roasted coffee.
- In the mouth it has a fully developed rich structure, and is very elegant and smooth thanks to its rich tannins.
- It is extremely well balanced and rounded, with a persistent silky finish.
Wine Summary
- Made from grapes.
- Vine age – planted in 1970 & 2001.
- Grown on soils of Galestro from cretacic era.
- Organically poor but rich in lithoid components.
- Fermented in stainless steel tanks.
- Aged in French tonneaux, new Slavonian oak barrels, and the bottle.
- Aged for 1 year in the French tonneaux, 25 years in the Slavonian oak, and 15 years in the bottle.
