Higher altitude vineyards in Appiano, Alto Adige. Cool night-time katabatic (downdraft) winds from the Mendel Massif encourage crisp acidity with balance.

Winemaker's Notes

Luminous yellow with green highlights. Fruity apple and pear aromas. Cooling downdraft winds from Mendel Massif create a beautifully balanced wine with crisp acidity that encourages another sip.

Pair with fishes, white meats, mediterranean antipasti, pastas, pizza and mild cheeses.

100% Pinot Bianco; alcohol: 13.5%; vineyards 480 – 560 meters at higher positions of Appiano under the Mendel Massif, Alto Adige; slightly loamy limestone gravel soils with some clay; vines 7 – 32 years; hand harvested end September; manual berry selection; fermented and partial malolactic fermentation in stainless steel.
