Winemaker's Notes

This Pinot Noir develops to its full potential in the cool and sunny vineyards. Garnet red color. The delicate aromas are reminiscent of wild berries, raspberry and blackberry. Elegant, compact and fruity-spicy. A structured wine with elegant fullness, similar to Burgundies.

Pair with lamb, calf’s liver, goat kid, braised meats and mature cheeses.

100% Pinot Noir; alcohol: 13.5%; grown in sunny, cool vineyards in Appiano and Caldaro; moraine debris and limestone gravel soils; hand harvested and manual selection of berries in mid-September; fermented in stainless steel tanks; malolactic fermentation and aging in large oak barriques.
